Perchlorate in vegetables and fruits (P1303-MRT)

PROOF-ACS designed and organized a Method Ring Test on Perchlorate in vegetables and fruits in
May 2013.

Four Test Materials based on two matrices (tomato and watermelon) were provided. The Test Materials consisted of two blank materials and two spiked materials. The spiked materials contained unknown
concentrations of perchlorate at different concentration levels.

The time schedule for the Method Ring Test was:

  • Dispatch of samples: 21 May 2013
  • Sample entrance (in the laboratory): 22/23 May 2013
  • Report of results: 4 June 2013 at latest

Each participant was given a report after the evaluation of the analytical results. This report included the anonymous results of all participants and the statistical evaluation of the results. The report also referred to the applied analytical methods.

The participation in the Method Ring Test was voluntary and not linked to any approvals, accreditations etc. of other organizations. The test is a so-called "Method Ring Test" whose results will be published within a scientific journal, if applicable, with the permission of the participants.

The participation fee for the Perchlorate Method Ring Test was 690 EUR plus tax.

Deadline for registration was 3 May 2013.
